most of these mails are scams and fraud.most of them are mass mailed and if you look at your sending and receiving on your mail box,it wont show your address as the (to) address.thats how i know anyway.dont give any info unless you know who you are talking to,or you might regret it later on.most of these mails are just scams to get personal info from you so they can use it for id theft or try to buy stuff in your name.i would be very careful if i were you !there are many bad people in this world,and as you know or will if you look at scams from africa or the uk. just do a google search for nigeria scams and you will find enough stuff there to let you understand.from the way you described it in the above,i would have to say it is 99.9% a scam.
