If the Pope saw a homeless person asking for shelter would he invite him/her to spend the night ...?

.... in the Vatican?

What do you think?
If the Pope saw a homeless person asking for shelter would he invite him/her to spend the night ...?
No, he wouldn't. Didn't you see that documentary where a bishop disguised himself as a homeless person and sat in a church? He was asked to leave.
Reply:He'd tell the guy to kiss his ring first. Then he'd leave the man helpless in order to pursue more important matters, like covering up pedophilia scandals.

A song is supposedly equivalent to two non-lyrical prayers. Interesting that God didn't include in his scripture that a good deed is the equivalent of about 1,000 spoken prayers.

I help the homeless whenever I can. I have heard numerous stories of church goers even church administrators shunning the poor for their mere presence in the field of view of the clergy.
Reply:When the Pope goes out, he does not see the people! He is surrounded by security, and it would be very difficult for him to see anyone who is in need! However, the man who is the Pope is a very kind and generous man, and as a priest, he was once responsible for an orphanage, so I suppose he still has the same feelings of compassion he felt as a young priest.

I noticed today that he spoke out against some priests in Australia who are guilty of the same types of sexual abuse of young children in their country. This seems to be a world wide epidemic!

Homeless people would not be invited into the living quarters of the Pope, but there might be a place in the apartment buildings where the cardinals reside. So who knows. I think he is a good man, but in my mind, his church is wrong!
Reply:the Pope could sell off most of the valuables he has in the vatican and live the way Jesus did. This would solve most of the problems of homelessness worldwide and feed a few starving nations to boot.....so no, i dont think he would invite someone in and help them....
Reply:Yeah of course he would, didn't you see. They had 150 million to spend and so they........... well they had a big propaganda party for catholics for a week. But i bet the homeless people enjoyed watching the stations of the crass, sorry, cross yesterday.
Reply:go to the vatican in rome. just outside the walls of the pope's mega-mansion the sidewalks are lined with beggars and the afflicted.

the church does nothing about it. neither do the millions of tourists who pass them by everyday.
Reply:nobody is going to invite a stranger who is homeless to there home for the night, because they do not know them

thats why homeless shelters are around... the pope has people that are around him that would take him to one and help them out
Reply:I'm sure you could find a large amount of homeless people in Rome. So, no. Why invite a poor person into a building filled with huge amounts of valuable objects.

Just common sense to not do it.
Reply:Thanks now I have to clean the coffee that shot out my nose off the screen . On the bright side it wasn't hot and my sinuses are now clean .
Reply:I can't speak for the Pope. Maybe you should e-mail the Vatican and ask him yourself ;)

LOL!!!
Reply:Only if the homeless person wears a funny hat.
Reply:If you were homeless in Rome, I am sure the Catholic Church would help you find a place somewhere. I am sure they have a mission of some kind for pilgrims.
Reply:No. But the Pope's body guards will sent the homeless to the nearest jail cell, where he could get food and shelter.
Reply:I doubt he'd see any and he would be too busy covering for the pedos and other abusers which are a minority
Reply:Doubt it. Religion has very little to do with compassion anymore.
Reply:ya he will definatly do, but he will not be able to see as he will be covered with too many priests right round him
Reply:Sure he would. Why wouldn't he?

God bless,

Stanbo
Reply:Only if he had no place to stay however a pocket full of Cash or Gold LOL

Love %26amp; Blessings
