I manage a boutique that sells jewelry, handbags, shoes, and (limited clothing) shirts. The owner wants me to fix the window to make it look more inviting. She doesn't know how to do it. Right now there are purses and rhinestone shirts hanging in the window. I am not sure what is need to make the window more attractive and inviting. There are two picture windows with the glass door in the center. The windows are 6ft wide and 5 ft tall. The problem is that there is a 4 ft counter on each window so it makes it difficult for people to look through the window to see the entire store. Any suggestions. I thought of remving the counters but that would involve repairing the window frame and getting new flooring in the area that the counters are in.
How do you create an inviting window display?
I used to love to do this when I worked part-time at a men's clothing store. I used to use chairs, wooden boxes, maybe a few furniture pieces in the store. I even used balloons in a net at New Years to look like they were going to fall out of the net. You can lay your shirt on the chair, hand purses on the chair, etc. Whatever clothing or purse pieces you use should be pieces that catch the eye and make people want to come into your store. Lots of Luck!
