What is the most inviting color for a room?

I know this is partially personal preference, but we have a "room" in an antique/coop mall which is now a worn white, we can paint it as long as the color is fairly neutral. I think there is research about colors and moods, such as red in a dining room, it makes you hungary. What is warm and inviting that will help people to enter and "shop" in our "room"?

Reply:Warm inviting colors: a gold (maybe glazed, to make it look antique); terra cotta or peach; anything warm (not cool). A soft green. A rosy-beige.

Reply:I would go with a pale yellow, it is a warm color and would make a person feel warm and compfy and want to stay around longer.
Reply:Green is a color used to relax, and it's also said to be very easy on the eye. Some pale shade of green would both be relaxing and would not compete visually for the attention of the shopper.
